Café Evropa in regions - Liberec: 25 years of Czech independence

We would like to invite you to the public debate that is part of the series Café Evropa, which will take place in Liberec. Where did the past 25 years take the Czech Republic? Jan Šolc and Tomáš Prouza will discuss that and more.

Our next debate from the Café Evropa in regions platform titled  "25 years of Czech independence" will take place on Tuesday, March 20th at pm in Knihkupectí a antikvariát Fryč (Pražská 14, Liberec).
Invited guests:
  • Jan Šolc, philosopher, former advisor to president Václav Havel, co-founder of the Czech Ethical forum.
  • Tomáš Prouza, economist, former state secretary of European affairs and coordinator of the Czech digital agenda.
The debate will be moderated by Martin Vokálek from EUROPEUM Institute for European policy.
The Czech Republic is celebrating 25 years of independence. Out of that, we have been members of the EU for more than half the time. We are therefore, presented with an opportunity to look back at the journey, which we have undertaken from our separation in 1993. Was the separation the right choice? Where to, did the Czech Republic progress in the past 25 years? How is the case of Czech Republic different from the Slovakian one? What kind of position did we establish for ourselves in the EU? How are we perceived by other member states?

The registration is not compulsory, but we would appreciate it. The events is also available on Facebook.

We are looking forward to your visit!
