The EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy kindly invites you to another online debate from the Café Evropa series, which will focus on relations between the EU and Africa. The debate is organized by the Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic and the EUROPEUM cooperation with Europe Direct Czech Republic and Eurocentrum Prague. The media partner of the debate is Deník.cz. The debate will take place on Thursday 20 May at 5.30 pm on the Facebook Café Evropa and will be held in Czech language only.

Supporting media freedom in Serbia in relation to the EU accession process

We are delighted to announce the launch of a project focused on support for independent Serbian journalists reporting on Serbia’s EU integration process, its obstacles in the field of democratic governance, and the rule of law and fundamental rights and freedoms, including the freedom of media. The project is supported by the Transition Promotion Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and implemented together with the Centre for Contemporary Politics from Serbia.

Café Evropa a Café Evropa in regions

The long-successful format of the Café Evropa debate has been running since 2015. The aim is to mediate discussions on European issues and the position of the Czech Republic in the EU to the general public. The discussing guests of Café Evropa are experts on the issue and representatives of European and Czech institutions. Since 2017, debates have been held not only in Prague but also in the Czech regions.
