While the NATO Summit has charted the course of transatlantic security discussions for the next two years, political questions about the vitality of the transatlantic relationship remain. First and foremost on the issues of transatlantic burden sharing, which President Donald Trump has insisted upon since his election. How will the Czech Republic, and other European partners, ensure that they respect the Wales spending pledge, and how will this money fit in the overall deterrence effort of NATO? How will the current efforts undertaken by the EU help these efforts, and what can the EU contribute in terms of ensuring European security?

This program is supported by a grant of the U.S. Embassy Prague and organized in cooperation with Česko-americké století #100letsUSA #ceskoamerickestoleti
