INVITATION: Transregional versus national perspectives on Contemporary Central European History

We would like to cordially invite you to the public launch of the publication "Transregional versus national perspectives on Contemporary Central European History" which will take place on December 15, 2017 in Bratislava.

The event will take place on December 15, 2017  from 14:30 in Bratislava (International Visegrad Fund, Hviezdoslavovo námestie 191/9).
​The publication collects findings from "My Hero Your Enemy conference" organized in 2011 and from the conference "National Identities in Central Europe in the Light of Changing European Geopolitics 1918–1948" organized in 2015. ​The publication aims to answer the questions:

How was the CEE region shaped by historical events that influenced individual states? What is the significance of mutual influence on perception of national identity – internal CEE relations versus external ones. How did the influence of historical events of 20th century on contemporary political discourses? How can be used the experience of coping with national identity related issues incurrent political development of CEE region?
