Policy Paper: Topics: Czech 2022 Presidency to the Council of the EU
In his policy paper, our research fellow Vít Havelka provides an overview of the current stage of preparations for the Czech Presidency and specifically elaborates on what topics the Czech Republic could choose as its priorities. Methodologically, the paper is divided into three separate parts, corresponding to three different levels of the program structure: political priorities, triadic priorities, and public service priorities.

Náš výzkumný pracovník Vít Havelka se ve svém policy paperu snaží poskytnout přehled o tom, v jaké fázi příprav na předsednictví se Česká republika v současné době nachází, a konkrétně rozvádí, jaká témata by si Česko mohlo zvolit jako své priority. Metodologicky je článek rozdělen do tří samostatných částí, které odpovídají třem různým úrovním programové struktury: politické priority, priority na úrovni trojice a priority na úrovni veřejných služeb.

REPORT: Online Expert Exchange: Visegrad perspectives on the "Fit for 55" climate package
On May 20th 2021, Think Visegrad Platform organised a closed roundtable entitled “Visegrad perspectives on the "Fit for 55" climate package”. The meeting was conducted online and was held under the Chatham House rules. The debate focused on the Central and Eastern European countries’ perceptions of the EU 2030 climate targets, establishing at least 55% emissions cut compared to 1990 levels, and the challenges the V4 countries will face when implementing this new target.

Dne 20. května 2021 uspořádala platforma Think Visegrad uzavřený kulatý stůl s názvem "Visegrádské perspektivy klimatického balíčku Fit for 55". Jednání probíhalo online a konalo se podle pravidel Chatham House. Debata se zaměřila na to, jak země střední a východní Evropy vnímají klimatické cíle EU pro rok 2030, které stanovují snížení emisí o minimálně 55 % ve srovnání s rokem 1990, a na výzvy, kterým budou země V4 čelit při implementaci tohoto nového cíle.

EngagEU - Zapojse.eu
The EngagEU (Zapojse.eu) project aims to promote citizens' involvement in the issues of green transformation and post-pandemic recovery of Europe by creating a space for their active participation in an open discussion on key issues for the European Union and the Czech Republic. Through an interactive web-based environment, it offers the general public the opportunity to gain an understanding of the European Parliament, its work and current activities that have an impact on the daily lives of citizens. The project is implemented by EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy and with the support of the European Parliament.

REPORT: EU± Portuguese and Czech Presidency of the EU Council
On December 15, the very last debate of 2020 from the series EU± took place. The debate was organized by the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy and the Department of European Studies of FSV UK. The topic of „Portuguese and Czech Presidency of the EU Council” was discussed by Ambassador of Portugal to the Czech Republic Luís de Almeida Sampaio, our Associate Research Fellow Zuzana Stuchlíková and former Permanent Representative to the EU Milena Vicenová. The debate took place in English and was charied by Tomáš Weiss, researcher, and head of the Department of European Studies FSV UK.
