Naše stážistka Leonor Tavares se ve svém blogu věnuje novému zákonu Evropské unie o svobodě sdělovacích prostředků. Nezávislá média jako prostředek svobody projevu jsou v některých členských státech EU ohrožena a jsou využívána k politické propagandě nebo jsou zcela rušena. Nový zákon by měl zajistit, aby veřejnoprávní média poskytovala pluralitu informací nestranným způsobem, a zároveň regulovat jejich financování a získávání a ochranu novinářských zdrojů.
