Celkově se debata týkala především tématu diverzifikace globálních obchodních partnerů a způsobů, jak jí dosáhnout. Řečníci také diskutovali o hrozbách, které jsou spojeny se závislostí pouze na některých silných státech, které pak mohou zaujmout pozici tvůrce pravidel.
