Analysis | Gradual Integration Process: Towards Restoring Effectiveness And Credibility Of EU Enlargement

Discussions on further changes to the enlargement methodology may reinforce the image of EU membership as a moving target with constantly changing rules, especially as the current methodology has still not been fully applied. Analýza | Proces postupné integrace: Na cestě k obnovení účinnosti a důvěryhodnosti rozšíření EU

Diskuse o další změně metodiky rozšíření může posílit obraz členství v EU jako pohyblivého cíle s neustále se měnícími pravidly, zejména když současná metodika stále nebyla plně uplatněna. Evropská komise by měla v rámci stávající metodiky vytvořit novou strategii, která by konkrétně specifikovala její přístup k postupné integraci (potenciálních) kandidátů do EU a podmínky, jimiž se tento proces řídí. Strategie pro západní Balkán z roku 2018 stanovila iniciativy, z nichž některé jsou platné i dnes a mohou sloužit jako základ nové strategie rozšíření.
