This year’s jubilee edition programme focused on the complexities of climate change and the EU’s approach and solutions towards this ever-growing issue, entailing climate change’s political, economic, security, and social aspects.

E15: EU emission standards will not be enough for China. Beijing is preparing its own rules

The EU countries have decided that the sale of new cars with internal combustion engines will end by 2035 at the latest. Although this is a highly controversial move in the Czech Republic, it is unlikely to be of much significance in the context of the global new car market. The new Euro 7 emissions standard will be the same. Our Senior Research Fellow Vít Havelka commented on this topic.

RILSA: Climate policy after a year of energy crisis

The text focuses on developments in energy and climate policy over the past year, defined by the Russian war in Ukraine, the energy crisis and rising inflation. The periodical is published by the Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs (RILSA).

E15: The EU Council approves strengthening the rights of couriers. It will make delivery services worse, warn Uber and Bolt

A new directive is being prepared in the European Union, which should come into force in the second half of 2025 at the earliest. It deals with the labor law issue of delivery services. The Czech context and interests of the platforms were added to the E15 article by our researcher Klára Votavová.
