Debates from the EU± series

The EU± project - a platform for discussions on topics related to current EU issues in the eyes of the young generation – takes place since the beginning of 2018. In the next year, we continue with debates on topics such as Euroscepticism, Brexit, V4, Erasmus +, work abroad, the situation in the Western Balkans, migration, cybersecurity, the Czech Republic within the EU or fake news and misinformation.

The project focuses on debates on selected EU policies and the position of the Czech Republic in the European Union in terms of issues perceived by the young generation. The aim is to give young citizens the opportunity to learn and discuss European issues and current issues that affect them, in order to develop their understanding of EU processes and give them space to discuss the future of Europe.

In 2020, we offered you, for example, the topic of the European budget for 2021-2027, the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the EU, the EU response to the situation in Belarus, the Migration and Asylum Pact, the impact of the US elections on the EU or the upcoming Czech Presidency in the EU Council.

You can find all the past debates from the EU ± project here.
