INVITATION: Dialogue: Opinions of Czech Society on the Green Deal

We would like to invite you to the debate "Dialogue: Opinions of Czech Society on the Green Deal" organized in cooperation with STEM Institute of Empirical Research, z.ú. The dialogue will present a survey of Czech society's views on the Green Deal, which was created in cooperation with the STEM Institute of Empirical Research and the Institute for European Policy EUROPEUM. The dialogue will be broadcast live on Wednesday 2 December 2020 from 5.30 pm.

The Green Deal is probably the most inflected European policy in the Czech media space. Its goal is to support the European Union's transition to a carbon-neutral economy by 2050. Opponents of the plan claim that the Green Deal will damage the Czech and European economies, or that it is too costly. Proponents of the agreement say it will help improve the global climate. Be that as it may, the future of politics will also depend on the views of Czech society.

Will he side with supporters or opponents of the Green Agreement? What are the pros and cons within Czech society? Does the Green Deal have the potential to influence the Czech perception of EU membership? And are Czechs ecological ignorant, or do they support nature protection?

These questions will be answered by the authors of the research:

• Nikola Hořejš, STEM Ústav empirických výzkumů, z.ú.
• Vít Havelka, EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy

The event will be live-streamed online on the pages of EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy. You can submit your questions to our speakers through comments during the live stream or at the Facebook event.
