Státy Evropské unie čeká období snižování spotřeby plynu. Přestože cílem návrhu, na kterém se členské země shodly, je dobrovolné snížení spotřeby v nadcházejících měsících o 15 % oproti průměru uplynulých pěti let, bude tlak na ještě vyšší úspory růst. A to nejen ve spotřebě zemního plynu, ale také elektřiny. Russia's Nord Stream 1 pipeline has been operating at only 20 % capacity since Wednesday. According to Bloomberg, Russia will not restore supplies to full capacity as long as anti-Russian sanctions remain in place.
