ČT 24 | Severní Makedonie volí novou hlavu státu

V Severní Makedonii se ve středu otevřely volební místnosti v prvním kole prezidentských voleb. O prezidentský post se v zemi zmítané politickým napětím, zklamáním z demokratických reforem, ale i aspiracemi na vstup do Evropské unie, uchází hned sedm kandidátů. The European Parliament recently approved the Migration Pact, which, among other things, deals with the relocation of asylum seekers. Minister of the Interior Vít Rakušan claims Czechia will have an exemption from solidarity due to the number of Ukrainian refugees it accepted. The Migration Pact will take effect in two years, and its strengths and weaknesses were analysed by Viktor Daněk, Deputy Director of the EUROPEUM Institute.

Evropský parlament nedávno schválil migrační pakt, který se mimo jiné zabývá i relokací žadatelů o azyl. Podle ministra vnitra Víta Rakušana bude mít Česko výjimku ze solidarity kvůli přijatým uprchlíkům z Ukrajiny. Migrační pakt začne platit za dva roky a o jeho slabých a silných stránkách mluvil zástupce ředitele Institutu pro evropskou politiku EUROPEUM Viktor Daněk pro vysílání ČT24.

Historically, there has been relatively low interest in elections to the European Parliament, and the same is likely to be true this year. In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, this interest is the lowest compared to other European countries. The main reason for this is the long-neglected debate on the European Union in the Czech Republic. The new Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk came to the Prague V4 summit asking whether the Visegrad group is still relevant.
