The debate was attended by experts from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Ministry of the Environment, as well as from international research organizations, institutions of the European Union, the private sector and, last but not least, representatives of trade unions operating in the automotive industry. RTVS: Ship with 750 people wrecked near Peloponnese, Greece detains its captain

At least 78 people died in the sinking of the ship off the Peloponnese peninsula and hundreds more are missing. Nine people of Egyptian nationality have been detained in Greece in connection with the sinking. They are suspected of people smuggling and face 20 years behind bars. Christian Kvorning Lassen, head of research at the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, also commented on migration within the Mediterranean for RTVS.

iDNES.cz: Gas pipeline from Poland, oil pipeline from Italy. Czech Republic to borrow billions for projects

The Czech Republic wants to borrow tens of billions through the National Recovery Plan for projects such as the gas pipeline from Poland or the strengthening of the oil pipeline from Italy. The money will come from the European Recovery and Resilience Facility, which should make the loan profitable. Not all projects have been given the green light by the European Commission. Funding for the Dukovany hot water pipeline has been put on hold. Our Senior Research Fellow Vít Havelka commented on this topic.

Twice as many people trust the President than last year, when Miloš Zeman was still head of state. The analysis was prepared by Globsec, a prestigious think tank based in Bratislava. Our senior Research Fellow Klára Votavová also commented on the issue.
