The EU's poorest member state, and said to be its most corrupt, takes up the rotating presidency of the EU Council. Is the country ready and what will be the priorities? Among others it should be solidarity, stability and security. Bulgaria is also overseeing the Western Balkan countries' attempt to join the EU as one of its main priorities.
