Historically, there has been relatively low interest in elections to the European Parliament, and the same is likely to be true this year. In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, this interest is the lowest compared to other European countries. Viktor Daněk, deputy director of the EUROPEUM Institute, commented on the Czech Republic's position in the EU and the possible reform of the approval mechanisms for the weekly Respekt.
