Conference: Building momentum for CCS deployment in the CEE region
The purpose of the conference is to establish familiarity of regional (CEE) actors with the EU-level CCS policy initiatives, to introduce them to funding opportunities that could be used to facilitate and accelerate the deployment of CCS projects in the region, as well as to enable and encourage communication and cooperation among interested parties. The conference will take place on 6 September at 15:00 in Brussels at the Residence Palace (155 Rue de la Loi, 1000 Brussels) and will also be streamed online.

EU MONITOR: Recharging the Czech EU Presidency
Czechia will enter its second round of the EU Presidency on the 1st of July. Despite the ongoing major shift toward e-mobility across the EU, no strong commitments are coming from the Czech government. The widely accepted milestone of 2035 for phasing-out the sales of new non-zero-emission cars is still perceived by many local policy-makers as unrealistic. Policy Paper: EU’s Transparency and Targeting of Political Advertising: Good Intentions but Clarifications and Amendments still Needed
A Policy Paper on transparency and targeting of political advertising in the EU was produced during a study visit to the Brussels office of Think Visegrad. The author of the paper, Karolína Klingová, focuses on the development of information technologies, including social media platforms with the possibility of micro-targeted campaigns, which have rapidly changed the concept of political communication and electoral campaigning.
