National Convention on the EU | Recommendations: Energy market review
"The discussants exchanged their views on the presented revision of the electricity market and the future shape of the Czech energy policy in general. The disputes were about whether the Czech Republic should insist on its position as an electricity exporter or to what extent it should rely on the European market. At the same time, the form of CfDs and PPAs was discussed and to what extent they are an appropriate solution for the Czech Republic. There was also an argumentation on the use of hydrogen from renewable sources or from natural gas and its applicability. Last but not least, the revision of the State Energy Concept was discussed, which should clearly define the ways of decarbonisation of the energy sector. In this respect, the reform of the Energy Concept should be discussed with all relevant partners."
