On April 18th, EUROPEUM’s Brussels Office in partnership with PISM Brussels Office under the Think Visegrad platform hosted a discussion titled “Regional Cooperation in Central Europe in the Aftermath of Russia’s War: Changes and Prospects”. This event was attended by 15 experts from think tanks and representatives of EU institutions.

The report provides a summary of a public event organized by EUROPEUM's Brussels Office, in collaboration with CEPS, as part of the Think Visegrad platform on November 27th. The event was named "EU-India relations: A partnership beyond trade." Panelists included Alica Kizekova, Senior Researcher at the Institute of International Relations Prague, Zsolt Trembeczki, Research Fellow at the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs (HIIA), and Fanny Sauvignon, Researcher at the Foreign Policy Unit of CEPS.

The head of our Brussels office, Žiga Faktor, wrote a report on the panel discussion that took place in a hybrid form in Brussels. During the panel, speakers discussed the latest developments in the NATO Strategic Concept and European defence autonomy debate. In addition, they focused on how Central and Eastern Europe, in particular countries of the Visegrad group, affect the process.

The Think-Tank Think Visegrad published a report on the anniversary of the Visegrad Four, its future and its role in the EU. The conference took place on November 22, 2021. Speakers discussed, among other things, the perspectives of the Visegrad countries at the conference and what the future of the Visegrad is.

We would like to invite you to a conference titled "30 Years of Visegrad: Role of the V4 countries in shaping the future of the EU". The debate will take place on Monday, 22nd of November 2021 starting from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. The event will take place in Brussels and will be live-streamed online.

Our research fellow Vít Havelka contributed to the publication "MINILATERAL COOPERATION IN THE EU: Internal Cohesion, Group Dynamics, and Voting Behaviour of Selected State Blocks", published by the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade. He is the author of a chapter on the Visegrad Group.

The director of the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, Zdeněk Beránek, commented for Czech Radio on the incoming Czech government headed by Petr Fiala of the ODS. He looked at whether the new government will actually follow Havel's human rights agenda, or what its installation will mean for the Visegrad Four.

We invite you to the EU± debate, this time on whether the V4 is the most important ally of the Czech Republic. The debate is organised with the support of the Jean Monnet Chair TeDEUSS - Teaching and debating EU small states' security at FSV UK and co-funded by the European Union's Europe for Citizens programme.

In Hospodářské noviny's podcast Morning Briefing by Ondřej Houska, our researcher Vít Havelka commented on who is the Czech Republic's key partner and assessed the functionality of the Visegrad Four.

Our research associate Lenka Farkačová contributed with her article, which focuses on which Visegrad Group country has the most favorable tax environment for business entities, to the professional journal FÓRUM sociální politiky. .

Our research fellow Danielle Piatkiewicz was a guest on the IDM Vienna podcast. The main topic of the podcast, which focuses on the Central Europe, was Brexit and the EU institutional framework.

Linda Zeilina wrote a policy paper as a part of the Think Visegrad platform on the topic of sustainable finance and energy security of the Visegrád group countries.
