This year's second debate of Prague Climate Talks discussed the European Green Deal, which commits Europe to becoming a climate-neutral continent by 2050. According to an expert discussion at which our Research Fellow Kateřina Davidová spoke, it will not be an easy task.

In another Policy Paper, this time from Lucie Vinařská, who has long been dealing with the Czech Republic's approach to environmental protection in the EU, we present a new climate and energy package called Fit for 55, which aims to virtually reduce emissions to 55% compared to 1990.

Experts from our Prague Climate Talks series, which consists of expert debates focusing on climate change, commented on what current US climate policy looks like and what changes the new office of President Biden will bring. They also focused on what this means for the European Union and other countries.

Our Research Assistant Charlotte Bufano wrote a policy paper for this year's first Prague Climate Talks debate: US back in business — what to expect from US climate policy? The debate would take place online on 29th April at 5:00 pm.

We are happy to announce the continuation of the Prague Climate Talks project – a platform for high-level discussion on the complex issue of climate change. The project will again host a series of debates with experts, professionals from varying relevant fields and the general public.

On 26th September 2020 we organized this year's fourth online debate from the Climate Talks cycle about the issue of financing the transition towards low-carbon economy.
