On the occasion of the anniversary of the ninth European Parliament elections, which took place from 23 to 26 May 2019, experts of EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy prepared five analyses reflecting on the past year in the key areas: climate, multiannual financial framework, migration, geopolitics and European Union enlargement.

In his monitor, Vít Havelka explored the Czech position regarding the latest development in the Multi-Annual Financial Framework (MFF) negotiations.

Markéta Mlčúchová published a policy paper about the reform of EU's budget – and especially its income side – using tools such as Common Consolidated Corporate Taxes, non-recycled plastic packaging waste tax or income from European Emissions Trading System (ETS) auctions.

Recommendations regarding directly controlled programs and other instruments in the new multiannual financial framework, based on the roundtable discussion of the National Convention on EU Affairs, are now available. They were prepared by Zuzana Kasáková and Vladimír Bartovic from EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy. The discussion took place on November 22.
