Green Deal

This year's second debate of Prague Climate Talks discussed the European Green Deal, which commits Europe to becoming a climate-neutral continent by 2050. According to an expert discussion at which our Research Fellow Kateřina Davidová spoke, it will not be an easy task.

Our Research Fellow Vít Havelka wrote an article for the Brussels Morning news website. The article presents the attitudes of Czech society towards the Green Deal. This main topic will be introduced on the Prague European Summit, which will take place on July 12-14.

We would like to invite you to the debate "Dialogue: Opinions of Czech Society on the Green Deal" organized in cooperation with STEM Institute of Empirical Research, z.ú. The dialogue will present a survey of Czech society's views on the Green Deal, which was created in cooperation with the STEM Institute of Empirical Research and the Institute for European Policy EUROPEUM. The dialogue will be broadcast live on Wednesday 2 December 2020 from 5.30 pm.

Kateřina Davidová from EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy wrote a commentary "Green Deal and the Czech Republic" for the publication European Green Road - The Future of the Czech Republic?, published in collaboration with the Wilfried Martens Center for European Studies and the Institute for Christian Democratic politics (IKDP), which focuses on ideas for the Czech Republic on the way to its sustainable future.

The latest article from Vít Havelka aims to explain how the Czech population perceives the EU Climate Policy and especially the European Green Deal.

Lucie Vinařská authored a policy paper for the 12th debate of the Prague Climate Talks series titled "European Green Deal: will it bring structural change?", which will take place online on EUROPEUM's Facebook.
