Our senior researcher Jana Juzová commented for ČT24 on the opening of negotiations on the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, which are taking place in Brussels.

Lots of good work, successful, excellent. These are also the terms used by analysts working in Brussels to assess the end of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. In interviews with ČTK, a trio of experts, including the head of our Brussels office, Žiga Faktor, praised the way the Czech Republic has approached directing the debates between the member states.

Peter Stepper, Senior Research Fellow, Head of Euroatlantic Program for Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade wrote a policy paper titled "V4 in Brussels – A reality check of the international perspective on Visegrad cooperation".

The head of our Brussels office spoke about the current improvement in relations between Ankara and Brussels. He attributes Erdoğan's turn in rhetoric not only to the outcome of the US elections, after which Turkey lost a significant teammate, but also to the upcoming elections in Germany, which may result in a significantly less conciliatory chancellor than Angela Merkel.

On Saturday, September 7, we organised a workshop "Overcoming Dividing Lines in Europe" at Jubel - European Democracy Festival. There we discussed what divides Europe and Europeans. The output of this workshop will be included in the festival's manifesto, which will then be sent to the European institutions. Now we bring you our report from the event.
