STVR | Relations between the European Union and the USA

Does the United States need the European Union as much as the European Union needs the United States? And what are the differences in relations during the Donald Trump and Joe Biden administrations? Danielle Piatkiewicz, research fellow at the EUROPEUM Institute, commented for Slovakian STVR.

The Biden administration wanted to create a real partnership with the European Union. Under Trump, it was a very transactional relationship. We see a strengthened relationship in terms of business, trade and of course the climate issue. So, yes, I would say the relationship is very strong on the US side.
