In an interview for RTVS, our research fellow Christian K. Lassen commented on the recent attempt of the right-wing group Generation Identity to stop non-governmental organizations from helping migrants, which are trying to reach Italian shores.

Na takovou akci nemají mandát. Vstoupí-li do libyjských vod, dopustí se trestního činu. Pokud se tato pravicová skupina bude snažit zabránit například Lékařům bez hranic, aby zachraňovali topící se lidi, poruší tak nejen námořní, ale i mezinárodní humanitární právo. Navíc by i ohrozili pracovníky těchto mimovládních organizací. Dle toho, zda by se tak stalo v mezinárodních nebo italských vodách, by za své zločiny měli být souzeni.
