Like a blinded deer staring fixedly towards the approaching headlights of the car that is about to hit it, Europe suddenly cannot move from its place while facing several simultaneous and growing threats, which it clearly perceives. In the past, it has been moments of crisis that have usually prompted European countries and their leaders to overcome their particular interests and move forward with reforms and deeper integration.
