Martial law, which was declared by South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on Tuesday night, lasted six hours. South Koreans have been in the streets ever since, demanding the President's resignation or impeachment. There is no doubt that he attempted a coup and it just didn't work. His move was illogical. It could have been caused by him maybe drinking a little too much soju and deciding to go for it. Korea is known for its population's ability to force political change. It's a sign of democracy and proof that people are not passive and when they don't like something, they actually take to the streets.
