What surprised and did not surprise me in the currently ending Hungarian Presidency. Some analysts, but also politicians, were expecting a big storm, a political abuse by Viktor Orbán and his government. And in the end it did and did not happen. It happened in that first week, but actually the course of the presidency after that was quite normal, one could say even constructive. I think that many of the people who were sounding the alarm about what might happen were reassured by the fact that the presidency was somehow going well.
