While all the candidates for European Commissioners have passed the grillings, the situation surrounding the negotiations of the executive vice-presidents of the European Commission has become complicated. The role of the politician, his ties to Viktor Orbán, the fact that in the past he has repeatedly criticised the European Union for various things, made very derogatory comments about MEPs and, on the contrary, defended the positions of the Hungarian government, is of course a thorn in the side of the voting majority in the European Parliament.
