ČT24 | European concerns about the consequences of the US election

What will Europe look like after the US presidential election? Whichever candidate wins, it is very likely that Europe will not be the focus of American attention. The United States and its foreign policy has long been going through a shift where it is withdrawing from the international scene. Viktor Daněk, deputy director of the EUROPEUM Institute, commented for Horizont ČT24.

One can already speak of a certain phenomenon of isolationism. From this perspective, it might seem at first sight that it does not really matter who becomes president, but it certainly does not. There are two options before us, either it will continue to be a gradual change with space to prepare for it, that is the Kamala Harris scenario, or a shock treatment, that is the Donald Trump scenario.
