ČT24: Barnier and Babiš discuss Brexit

Our Vít Havelka commented on the topic of Brexit in relation to the Czech Republic.
17. April 2018

Our Vít Havelka commented on the topic of Brexit in relation to the Czech Republic. What is the most convenient form of Brexit, for the Czech Republic?

There is no change occurring, Great Britain will remain as part of the single market, free movement of people including workers will not be banned. The only change will be in Britains rights when it comes to voting in EU institutions, and at the same time it will gain the right to negotiate with international actors.

In order for everything to remain as it is, between Britain and the Czech Republic, the transition period for Brexit has to be prolonged.

To remain in the customs union, and to limit the free movement of workers will be very difficult and unlikely for Great Britain.

The complete interview is available in Czech language on the website of the Czech Television [34:20-38:58].
