The European Parliament is now taking the European Commission to the Court of Justice of the EU over the controversial release of EU funds to Hungary. "The fact that they have gone to court is not surprising, they are only fulfilling their control function, which they have according to the agreements. They are inspecting the European Commission's activities. And what is suspicious here is the timing. The European Commission released a third of the funds blocked so far just two days before a key summit which discussed the opening of accession talks with Ukraine."
