The European Parliament is of great importance. Historically, its powers have grown, and undoubtedly, they will grow even further after these elections. The shape of European legislation is not merely something that "Brussels bureaucrats" invent for us; it also significantly involves Members of the European Parliament. That's why I believe these elections will be crucial because the elected majority will decide on the priorities of the European Union for the next five years.
