The rise and role of regional cooperation in Central and South Eastern Europe

Our Zuzana Stuchlíková represented our institute at a conference held in Budapest and explained the driving factors of the Czech foreign policy.

The conference titled “From ‘Visegrad Four’ to ‘Varna Four’: The rise and role of regional cooperation in Central and South Eastern Europe” brough number of experts to the Hungarian capital Budapest. The conference was hosted by CEU's research Center for European Neighborhood Studies (CENS) and also by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Budapest office.

Experts discussed the development of regional cooperation in Central Europe, but also newly emerging platform in South Eastern Europe where 'The Four of Varna' (Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia) is on the rise. Can this project be as successful as the Visegrad Four platform?
