REPORT: NATO Summit: what is at stake for the Czech Republic, the U.S., and the Alliance?

We're bringing you a report from our event ''NATO Summit: what is at stake for the Czech Republic, the U.S., and the Alliance?'' which took place at the American centre on 9th of July.

After an early afternoon press conference with Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges we have moved to the American Centre at the U.S. Embassy in The Czech Republic. In cooperation with Czech-american century we've hosted a public debate where we discussed the topics for the upcoming NATO Summit in Brussels .

Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges was commander of NATO Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) between the years 2012 and 2014. Since 2014 he was commander of the US Army in Europe (USAREUR) unitl he retired from the Army in 2017. Benjamin Hodges is currently working in the washington-based think tank CEPA (Center for European Policy Analysis).

The Czech opinion was represented by Jakub Landovský, Deputy at Ministry of Defence and Petr Kolář, former ambassador and former Deputy at Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event was moderated by our Martin Michelot.
