Comrades (original title Towarzysze) - An empathetic time-lapse portrait of three young members of the Italian Communist Renewal Party who strive to make the world a better place. However, as the film shows, their clash with the reality of the older members and their unsuccessful attempts to gain new supporters gradually confront them with harsh realities and personal challenges. The film reveals the disillusionment of the current young generation and their struggle to keep faith in their ideals.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with the director Joanna Janikowska herself, who will share her views on the subject of the film, the process of its creation, and the challenges young people face today in promoting social change.
Admission is free, but capacity is limited.
Soudružky a soudruzi (původní název Towarzysze) – Empatický časosběrný portrét tří mladých členů italské Strany komunistické obnovy, kteří se snaží změnit svět k lepšímu. Jak však film ukazuje, střet s realitou starších členů a jejich neúspěšné pokusy získat nové příznivce je postupně konfrontují s drsnou skutečností a osobními problémy. Film odhaluje ztrátu iluzí současné mladé generace a jejich boj o udržení víry ve své ideály.
Po promítání bude následovat diskuse se samotnou režisérkou Joannou Janikowskou, která se podělí o své názory na téma filmu, proces jeho vzniku a výzvy, kterým dnes mladí lidé čelí při prosazování sociálních změn.
Vstup je zdarma, ale kapacita je omezená.
