Invitation: Webinar: capturing and storing CO2 in terrestrial structures (CCS)
The first phase of the project aims to map the status and development of carbon capture and storage (CCS/CCU) technologies in Central and Eastern Europe and the second phase to recommend the steps needed to put this technology into practice. The webinar will focus on this issue in particular in the context of the Czech Republic and will present the results of the first phase of the research.
The webinar will take place on 29 September 2021, from 10.00 - 11.30 a.m. and you can participate directly via Zoom (with the possibility to join the discussion) or watch it live or recorded on our Facebook page. The webinar will be held in Czech language.
Agenda:
- Vladimir Bartovic, Director of EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, will give the opening remarks and present the results of the analysis of the state of CCS in the Czech Republic.
- This will be followed by a commentary by the coordinator of the Czech CO2-SPICER project and representative of the Czech Geological Survey, RNDr. Vit Hladik, MBA.
- Further commentary and opinion on the issue will be given by the representative of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic, Ing. Jan Tůma.
In the next part of the seminar, the discussion will be open to all present guests.
