EU-Pacific Talks | Charting the course for Ukraine: Reassessment of the Indo-Pacific
A profound impact of Russia's attack on Ukraine has been the rallying of support from various countries, demonstrating their willingness to aid in Ukraine's recovery. At its core, this multilateral vision is driven by the collective understanding that Ukraine's future is inseparably tied to global peace and security. Central and Eastern European countries, in particular, provided logistical, weapons, and displacement support and helped change the security narrative. In light of greater engagement in the region, the question arises whether the Indo-Pacific remains the primary battlefield for major power competition. Examining the lessons from the Ukrainian conflict, the discussion delves into the potential impact on Indo-Pacific dynamics and the capacity of European allies and partners like the US to navigate their commitments in the Indo-Pacific.
