Michal Hrubý

Research Fellow

Michal Hrubý has a Master's degree in Economics from Škoda Auto University and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mineral Raw Materials at the VSB Technical University of Ostrava. His research focuses on green economics, decarbonisation of heavy industries, and transport. He regularly contributes to renowned Czech media outlets. As part of EUROPEUM's climate team, Michal contributes to our efforts to base the public debate on relevant facts and information and to connect with and inform various stakeholders about the developments in the EU legislation.

Russia's Nord Stream 1 pipeline has been operating at only 20 % capacity since Wednesday. According to Bloomberg, Russia will not restore supplies to full capacity as long as anti-Russian sanctions remain in place. The project called Decarbonization of the automotive industry aims to enable fast and fair decarbonization of the automotive industry in the Czech Republic by bridging the gap between policy- and decision-makers and companies. The key networking activities rely on evidence-based research outputs and follow-up activities with the respective stakeholders of the automotive industry in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the project aims to deepen the public understanding and social acceptance of the inevitable changes in the transport sector. The project is led by the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy with financial support from the European Climate Foundation.
