Liljana holds a Ph.D. in Politics from the University of Sussex, an MA in Contemporary European Studies from the University of Bath, an MA in Research in Law from Queen Mary University of London, and a Bachelor of Laws from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University. Her research expertise and focus encompass anti-corruption efforts at the national, European, and international levels, the intersection of corruption and gender, and European Union enlargement.
Prior to joining EUROPEUM, Liljana worked as a lecturer for the University of Sussex, UK for several years, where she taught, researched, and published on corruption-related topics, European Union laws and policies, as well as research methods and postgraduate dissertation writing. She has also worked in the civil sector as a researcher for Transparency International Macedonia and in the legal sector.
Liljana actively contributes as a consultant for various international organizations, delivering research and training on topics related to rule of law, good governance, anti-corruption, and matters pertaining to the European Union.
