In an article by the Czech News Agency (ČTK), two of our experts - Kateřina Davidová and Jana Juzová - comment on the speech of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. Our senior researcher Jana Juzová wrote an article for VISEGRAD/INSIGHT on "The Czech Republic and Slovakia in the lead". Since July, the Czech Republic has held the presidency of the EU Council and Slovakia the presidency of the Visegrad Four. Although the V4 is now in the shadow of Czech and Slovak foreign policy, this does not mean that it is less important or that it is falling apart. However, the V4 crisis triggered by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán may be an opportunity for the Czech Republic and Slovakia to determine the direction of the Visegrad Four.

Our Senior Research Fellow Jana Juzová commented on the current tensions between Serbia and Kosovo on RTVS Radiožurnál. The Serbian president urged NATO to take care of the Kosovo Serbs and threatened that Serbia would take matters into its own hands if NATO did not. Tensions between Serbia and Kosovo are also gaining momentum in the context of Serbia's efforts to enforce new border rules. Compromises between Serbia and Kosovo have only resulted in an agreement to extend the registration changes until early September. And how does this conflict contribute to Russia?
