Ursula von der Leyen delivers her last State of the Union speech of her term today. Our researcher Klára Votavová responded to questions from the Czech Television about the speech.
"Ursula von der Leyen enters her term in 2019 with the priority of decarbonising the European Union. The speech showed that decarbonisation and the European Green Deal remained a priority. Although I found it interesting that Ursula tried to reassure business and put more emphasis on the fact that the European Union needs to focus on dialogue with business, competitiveness, investment and things like that."
