Vít Havelka, Senior Research Fellow at the EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, was interviewed by the Belgian daily Le Soir. In particular, he discusses what is the main priority of the Czech Presidency, how it will be reflected at the European level and what will ensure the success of this Presidency.
"I don't think the government's ambitions at European level are too high, so everything will be fine as long as there are no major setbacks. It is the same at the Czech level, there are no great expectations from this Presidency. We can talk about success if some of the legislation on Fit for 55 is pushed through and if progress is made on the Migration Pact. And if we manage to coordinate things for the coming winter so that we do not freeze."
