Christian Kvorning Lassen, Deputy Director of EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy commented on the current situation concerning negotiations of the European budget and vetos from Hungary and Poland for Danish newspaper Kristeligt Dagblad.
Poland and Hungary are still keeping the rest of the EU in check by blocking the budget and corona aid package. But they are isolated, and although the EU will take the time to find a compromise so that the two countries do not lose face, the value struggle over the rule of law is a losing case.
