On Tuesday 13th December 2016 we welcomed a group of MBA students from the Otterbein University in American state of Ohio. Our research fellows Christian Kvorning Lassen and Kateřina Davidová introduced them to the various activities EUROPEUM undertakes and then discussed with them a range of topics currently being discussed in the EU. The discussion touched upon for example the economic development of the EU, the refugee crisis, rise of populism in a number of member states or the support varying support for renewable energy across member states. The students were also interested in the perception of the EU in the Czech Republic and its portrayal in the media. The newly elected US president Donald Trump also came to discussion towards the end of this stimulating visit.
