Press Release | RESILIENT EUROPE: A shared responsibility to strengthen democracy

Together with the Association for International Affairs and EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, the Centre for an Informed Society has prepared a series of Resilient Europe events from 8 to 10 October 2024. This was a forum aimed at strengthening strategic communication and countering disinformation. It aimed to share best practices from different countries and learn from their successes and mistakes in strengthening democratic principles, countering authoritarianism and populism, and uniting society against divisive influences.

Together with our partners, we delivered a strong message - defending and strengthening our democratic institutions is a shared responsibility; a responsibility that belongs to governments, NGOs, civil society and all of us.

Over 250 participants from 33 countries attended the program, which took place at three different locations in Prague over three days.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all our partners, including: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, Federal Centre for Civic Education, Department of Communication on European Affairs of the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, Psychological defence agency (Sweden), Czech-German Future Fund, Representation of the European Commission in the Czech Republic, Embassy of the United States of America in Prague, Embassy of Sweden in Prague, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Prague, British Embassy in Prague and Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Prague.
