Over the past five years we have gone through a pandemic, Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the associated energy and economic crisis, and a large influx of refugees from Ukraine. Many of these things are also affecting citizens in the Czech Republic and elsewhere in Europe, and these citizens often look for solutions in strongly populist politicians or in far-right parties.
