After Filip Turek and Kateřina Konečná achieved significant success in the European Parliament elections in the Czech Republic, a debate has arisen about their stance on the migration pact. Turek aims to free himself from its constraints, while Konečná advocates for its complete abolition in its current form. But is this even feasible? In the Czech public debate, there have been many claims that politicians will abolish the migration pact. However, we are telling ourselves fairy tales that do not align with reality at all. I don't think the European Parliament will revisit and revise the migration pact. While the Parliament has shifted to the right, it certainly hasn't shifted as much as expected.
