Právo | Will a consensus be reached on a European migration pact?
Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Vít Rakušan attended a meeting on the migration package in Brussels yesterday. Migration policy and the European migration pact is currently one of the most pressing topics in European politics. Our deputy director Viktor Daněk commented on the issue to the daily Právo.

"If there is no agreement this year, the Belgian Presidency may try to reach one. But the pact should be able to be negotiated by March at the latest, because then the election campaign will be underway and there are elections in May. It is clear that if an agreement is not reached now, it will be stuck for many months. Especially if the far-right and populist parties strengthen in the European elections, which is expected."
