ČRo Plus | Increased humanitarian aid for Gaza
The European Commission increases the amount of humanitarian aid it will provide in the Gaza Strip. Viktor Daněk, Deputy Director of EUROPEUM Institute, comments on what led to this decision and what impact it will have.

"Ursula von der Leyen did not decide to take this step in a vacuum, but on the basis of a mandate from the member states, which unanimously agreed at a summit at the end of October that the humanitarian situation in Gaza was deteriorating rapidly and that the EU should address the situation. On this basis, the Commission decided to materialise those demands into a concrete sum"
